On the occasion of the 500th Anniversary of the First Circumnavigation (Magellan Expedition – Elcano, 1519 – 1522) Viñedos Robyn produced a Limited Edition of 500 bottles in memory of the sailor from Getaria for the presentation of the Elcano Oceanic Trophy.
Made with the native grapes of the land that was the origin and destination of that great feat, It so happens that the grapes for making this wine were harvested in August 2019, and the bottle was presented and opened for the first time on September 6, 2022.
That is, Tinta Rota edition V Centenaria took 1082 days to complete its journey, identical the voyage of Magellan and Elcano, exactly 500 years later.
